SPRING 2021

Law Ball

SOCIAL EVENTS

The Law Society offers a diverse social calendar that caters for every interest of our members. We arrange socials at least twice a month which includes nights out, drinks receptions, balls and quizzes.

WINTER AND SPRING BALL

The Law Society Annual Winter Ball is one of the highlights of our social calendar. At this sophisticated event, guests enjoy a three-course dinner followed by an evening of live music and dancing. In addition to this, a champagne reception, professional photographer and raffle all play a part in creating a perfect night to remember. This is our biggest and most formal event of the year which is attended by students, faculty members and guests.

Similar to the Winter Ball, the Spring Ball is a great occasion on the social calendar and is for many final-year students their last of such events at UEA. This night typically features a three-course meal followed by the anticipated announcement of the newly elected Committee for the next academic year, as well as a professional photographer and DJ set.

ANNUAL TRIP ABROAD

The Society organises an annual trip abroad, usually a city break, for a long weekend in the Spring. In the  academic year 2022/23, we spent four days in Krakow, Poland and in the last academic year we visited Amsterdam. Both were excellent trips with visits to famous and historic landmarks and nights out in a vibrant and cultural cities.

RELAXED NIGHTS

In addition to offering the opportunity to experience the Norwich nightlife, we also aim to offer social events that give our members the opportunity to interact and form relationships in a fun and relaxing environment.

Examples of these events include quiz nights and bingo. These also prove to be popular and highly attended events. We are in the process of undertaking other activities such as paintballing or other days out that would provide greater variation to our current opportunities.
